Next Step Workshop 2019 - Detroit
Plan to be with us on November 6-10 in the Detroit area. We will be hosted at Connection Church in Canton, Michigan (which is only about 20 minutes from the Detroit airport.)
We will focus on writing, developing and performing message-based material. Stage presence, technique and mime-based movement will be a key focus for these five days.
Two of the instructors (along with me) will be Ben & Christine Christensen. Ben and Christine met as part of the professional PUSH Physical Theatre troupe in Rochester, NY. They were featured performers in the hit show "Fake Off". See Ben and Christine in this short PUSH video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJ6bRx0kbgI We're proud to have them helping us develop our physicality and communication techniques at this upcoming Next Step Workshop!

The Importance of Imitation
At the Next Step Workshop, we do "hands on" training where each student is actively involved in the learning process. At the upcoming Next Step Workshop (2019) we are going to do a significant amount of work on mime and physical communication techniques. Come work with national-calibre instructors and learn the techniques that will improve your presentations!
I've added a new article to my blog at pastorclown.blogspot.com It talks about the importance of imitation. I know that many people want to be one-of-a-kind individuals, but to grow as a performer, imitation is an essential step to improvement!
