2020 Clown Coach - Angel Ocasio
In 2012 Angel, Randy and Janet Tucker taught at the Next Step Workshop in Eden Prairie, MN. We are thrilled that Angel will be sharing his expertise once again in 2020!

Angel performs and teaches comedy & clowning
skills throughout the United States. He has also performed and taught in Puerto
Rico, Canada, Bermuda, Malaysia, China & Mexico. Angel is the founder and director of the famed Comedifest Convention in America's Northwest.
He produces, directs,
writes, performs and emcees for variety, vaudeville, & USO style shows. He is
also an actor who has appeared in several T.V. commercials & television
shows (Harley-Davidson, Figaro’s Pizza, GRIMM, etc.).
As a strolling act, Angel
has entertained the audiences for such top performers as Willie Nelson, James
Taylor, John Mayer and Pink Martini. He has performed on stage as the opening
act for Wayne Newton and Patrick Lamb. Angel had a short stint as a featured
clown for Culpepper & Merriweather Great Combined Circus and made
promotional appearances for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
He also entertained at a Cirque du Soleil “Saltimbanco” premiere party in
Portland, Oregon.
A graduate of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey
Clown College, Class of ’84. Angel was selected as the Clowns of America International
2003 “Clown of the Year.” He has been the featured performer and lecturer for basically every major clown convention in America.
Since 2011, Angel has been the official Portland Rose
Festival’s award-winning “Clown Prince” and is the artistic director for the
Rose Festival Clowns, now in its 13th year.
Angel is the author of the practical, insightful and inspiring book, "Clowning: Keep It Simple. Keep It Real." Angel also loves to play the ukulele and sing classic
jazz songs.

Next Step Workshop 2020 with Angel and Randy
The dates are set for the 2020 Next Step Workshop in Mankato, Minnesota. We will start mid-afternoon on Wednesday, November 11th and conclude after lunch on Sunday, November 15th.
On Wednesday night, November 11th, Angel and Randy will perform a special kids event at Hillside Church where the attendees can see them live in action.
On Sunday morning, November 15th, the Next Step participants will perform Children's Church services full of the material that was written and worked on during the workshop. It's really a wonderful time for the participants to perform together with others in this great setting.
During these five days, Angel and Randy will be sharing insights, methods and coaching that will help you make your "next step" in your clowning.
Please note that only 15 people are allowed at this training. Participants are not officially registered until they've filled out the information page and have sent $75 to hold their spot.
