Clown School Skit - from Next Step 2018
During the Next Step Workshop in 2018, clowns learned how to write routines that help people understand lessons. One of the methods Randy teaches is called "scriptural parallels." This where one takes an existing story and builds a routine that shares the same lesson.
"Clown School" is a skit based on the account of Philip when he spoke with the Ethiopian eunuch (Found in Acts 8). It was performed prior to Pastor Randy sharing the biblical story.

Philip Shares the Gospel - Clown Skit from Next Step 2018
During our 2018 Next Step Workshop in Mankato, MN we spent a lot of time working on writing routines (using different approaches). There was a lot of personalized advice. (That's one reason we keep it a small group.)
The main Bible story for the Sunday morning service was from Acts chapter 8. It records Philip traveling along the road (at the Holy Spirit's direction) and coming in contact with an important Ethiopian official. Philip explains how Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of Isaiah. The Ethiopian official came to place his faith in Christ.
We encouraged the children to also share their faith with others. As we came to the end of our service time "Toots" shared a visual lesson that encouraged children to show God's love to others.

Solo Skit Development - The Train Whistle
During the Next Step workshop participants learn and participate in different methods of writing ministry/educational routines. The theme for the 2018 Next Step Workshop "Kids Church" was "tell others the message of Jesus."
