Next Step 2018, Complete!
On November 7-11 in Mankato, Minnesota, a small group of clowns gathered to learn and experience a more personalized training and time of involvement and inspiration. Some that planned to come had health issues that prevented their involvement.
Wednesday started off with a time of sharing and learning and then featured Jeff, Randy & Colleen clowning for a special children's night at Hillside Church in Mankato.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday were all days of learning, experimenting, analyzing, writing, rehearsing and trying new creative techniques.
Debra said, "I got EVERYTHING I had hoped to gain from this workshop. I'm so excited and feel equipped to go home and make the next steps in my clowning."
Sunday morning the clown students presented three children's church services (each an hour long) using the routines and songs they had developed during the Next Step Workshop. It was a wonderful heart-filling day for kids and for clowns!
Laura shared, "All I can tell you, for this clown that has been clowning professionally since 2001, is that I learned more in this past week than any other experience that I have had."
Jeff, Colleen and I (the staff) are extremely proud of the risks that were taken, the work that was done, and the children that were blessed. Great job, Next Steppers!
P.S. Watch for upcoming news about the next new focus for the Next Step Workshop coming in 2019. Every year has a different emphasis.
